Water
Reservoirs and tower are not back-up systems. They are water supply systems. The problem started with various power failures (City Power) at the Rand Water Eikenhof and Vereeiniging pump stations. No pumping took place during this time until the power was resorted. During that time reservoirs and towers didn't receive water but they still supplied their areas. Unfortunately, water systems do not recover through flicking a switch. There is a full procedure to get rid of vacuum in the pipes and the reservoirs and towers need to be replenished in some sequence.
